Master password in SQL Query

Hi,

I've set the master password in SQL Query, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I can still open the application and connect to all the databases without entering a password. Do I have to change anything else, or am I just misunderstanding the meaning of master password?

regards,

Michiel

Hello, Michiel.

Thank you for your question.

The master password is prompted once for a work session. It protects only passwords saved in the connection settings. When you've just set it, it is obvious that you know it and all passwords are just encoded with it, so there's no sense to ask for it. The prompt for the master password will be shown after the program restart on connecting to a database for which the password is stored in the connection settings.
