sort fields by name
Is there an option to sort the field names of a table in the query builder view? If a table is big, searching for the right field can be very annoying.

Yes, it works for all types of objects.
Open the options dialog (Settings - Options main menu item), go to the Common Options - Query Builder - Design Pane tab and find the needed option ("Object field list sort type"). May be the unsorted columns are parts of primary key? There's an option to place key fields first, you can try to turn it off.
We too have tables containing many many columns, so am glad to have this option to sort by column name.
But I don't want the sort by column name to be applied for all tables and views. Just for those tables needed.
So I would suggest to implement a sort within the Query Builder pane by mouse rightclick on the table.
A sort defined in the Query Builder should overrule the sort setting in the Option menu.
There is no such option in the current version. We will made it in the next version.
