Hi! I have the latest version yet (3.2.5.19) and I have the same problem as OP: the layout of the tables I manually move in Query Builder is reseted every time I open/close the query. Is there a way to save the layout or avoit FlySpeed to re-arrange the tables layout? I don't find a way to do this, please explain step by step how this can be accomplished.

THANKS a lot.

Hello,

Please try the latest version 3.3.1.3. The bug with layout is fixed now.

We've reproduced the problem. Thank you for your persistence and patience. The bug will hopefully be fixed in the next build.

For now you can scroll the design area to the top before saving a query to avoid this problem.

Hi thanks for the feedback and the followup. Unfortunately my layouts are still moving around but I don't get the exact steps to make it happen; that's why I haven't been able to record a video or something to show you. It sometimes happens when I click the save button, sometimes when I'm working in the layout and then change to the SQL Text tab and then return to Query Builder, etc. I haven't been able to get the exact steps to reproduce the problem, but it still happens in latest version (3.3.1.2)

I often change tables height to fit everything on screen, then the height of the tables suddenly changes to show all fields and their arrangement on screen changes. If you need me to do some steps to be able to help better I'll be on the lookout. Greetings!

(P.S. I know I didn't reply fast sorry, but the issue is not Fixed yet please reconsider the status of this ticket.)

Hello,

We've made some changes in the tool that may affect the desribed problem ("The layout of the tables I manually move in Query Builder is reseted..."). Can you please check and confirm if it's fixed on your side?

Hello,

Thank you for the good words about our software.

Sorry, but this isn't something we've been able to reproduce here.

Can you send us a screencast or establish a remote session, so we can see the steps to reproduce this problem?

Hi, thanks for the fast response. I've double checked the procedure and the layout is saved ineed, I verified opening and closing the query and FlySpeed and the layout prevails:

Analysing closely what's going on, I found that I often pull up the bottom panel with sub-query SQL text editor and results view to read closely the text SQL or the results of the query in the preview panel. When I pull down or click the show/hide buttons for this panels, the diagram is untidy, like being flattened:

Pulling up that panel makes the mess. The expected behaviour would be not the affect the layout by this action.

Thanks a lot again, and I hope you can find this new explanation useful.

As a side note, I also noticed the layout is saved even if the query is not saved.

  1. Open a saved query
  2. Make changes in the layout
  3. Don't save the query, just close it; or close FlySpeed althogether.
  4. Open the query again: the changes in the layout are preserved.

The expected behaviour would be not to preserve the changes if the query is not saved.

As a side comment, thanks for this excellent software, it's just extremely useful. Greetings.

Hello,

The layout of query is saved when you save the query itself. Please open a query, arrange tables as you need and click Save.
