Collapse database nodes in Database Explorer on connecting

I have just started evaluating FlySpeed SQL Query and so far I really like it. However, the MySQL server I use has a large number of databases that I work with regularly and so I have them all available in the connection, but when it opens all of the database branches are open and showing all of the tables. This makes the list REALLY long. Is there any way to close all of the branches at once or to set a preference where they load closed rather than open? Also the Object Filter only works for the table names. It would be really handy if it also worked for the database names too.

This feature is implemented now. The appropriate setting is added to the Advanced tab of the Connection Properties dialog.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. When opening a single DB it's not an issue seeing all the tables, but I have to work with multiple (20 or more) databases at one time with 15 tables each. That's a long list of tables. At the moment I have to manually close all the database branches to hide all the tables and make it workable for me moving between the databases.

If I'm honest, I would have to say that I am finding FlySpeed so useful that I'll probably just put up with this irritation, but I think it would be very useful, for most people, to have the databases load with the table branches closed rather than open. Or have an option to choose which way they would prefer to use.

Aside from this, thank you for a great product. I wish I had found it years ago!

Thank you for your question.

Note that you can choose one or several databases to be shown in the tree for this connection in the Connection Properties dialog: Specify the Default database to select a single database; click on the "More options" button and switch to the Databases tab to select several databases.
